Quinnipiac went 10-21 this season and finished 7-13 in the MAAC.
Moore said after this season’s first-round loss in the conference tournament – the program’s third straight – that he was “concerned” for his future.
“Yeah, I’m concerned, of course. This is a really tough business and it’s a results-driven business,” Moore said. “I’m concerned. I look back on what we have done here in our 10 years and I’m still very proud of what we have done in the grand scheme of things, but I’m not happy obviously with the last two years.”
Moore, 51, has been the Bobcats’ head coach 2007. He’s compiled a total record of 162-146 with Quinnipiac, but never got to the NCAA Tournament. The Bobcats appeared in four postseason tournaments under Moore – the NIT twice and the CBI twice.
