The No. 8 seed Virginia Tech Hokies will take on the No. 9 seed Alabama Crimson Tide this week in the First Round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The two teams are part of the East region, playing in the same bracket as No. 1 seed Villanova
Preview: Virginia Tech is one of the most balanced teams in the country. The Hokies have five players who average double figures in scoring – Justin Robinson, Justin Bibbs, Kerry Blackshear Jr., Ahmed Hill and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
Alabama, meanwhile, features freshman phenom Collin Sexton, who averages 19.0 points per game. He’ll need to play well for the Crimson Tide to advance.
