Cleveland has benched its starting quarterback.
DeShone Kizer is a rookie quarterback playing for the Cleveland Browns. The former second round pick was benched just two weeks ago, and after struggling during today’s contest, he’s been benched yet again.
After having the week off to study film, Kizer will have to ride the pine for the second half.
Former USC quarterback Cody Kessler is now in for the struggling Kizer.
The Browns are trailing by three midway through the third quarter.
Unbelievable. The #Browns bench QB DeShone Kizer and Cody Kessler is in at QB. … and he had a long completion.

Kizer had completed 12 of 20 passes for 114 yards and 2 interceptions.
In his first series, Kessler led the Browns from their own 1-yard line to kick a field goal to tie the game.
