What’s Next With Jen X, Episode 1
To our readers:
I’m launching something new at The Spun, the “What’s Next With Jen X” podcast!
Each week, I’ll be catching up with former pro and collegiate athletes who have gone on to do some pretty interesting things after their playing days.
Former NFL wide receiver Anthony Armstrong joins the show this week. Armstrong spent time most notably with the Dolphins, Redskins and Browns, and is now killing it in the real estate game. Armstrong revealed that studying an NFL playbook was much harder then prepping for his real estate license.
Not only did “The Football Realtor” say he knew he could handle the competitiveness of his new career after coming from the NFL, he proved it. In 2015, Armstrong was named the best agent in the Dallas area by D Magazine.
Agent Armstrong credits his success to his customer service and it doesn’t hurt that he’s surprisingly had a few clients that are also Redskins fans.
“There was another time when I was showing a house and my clients were like, ‘You’re going to love this’ and the kids are in Redskins jerseys–this guy is a huge Redskins fan. I had no clue. So I left him a note, you know, trying to sweeten the deal a little bit…”
Find out if Armstrong landed that deal and you won’t want to miss an incredible story about when he signed with Miami, his time in Washington complete with an interesting memory of Donovan McNabb, why Roger Goodell should just play the part of the bad guy, his love for a little but of an unexpected movie genre and his vision of how real estate can help him to empower underprivileged communities.
