A Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach was reportedly arrested tonight.
Steelers outside linebackers coach Joey Porter was reportedly arrested this evening following Pittsburgh’s playoff win over the Miami Dolphins.
Porter, who played for the Steelers from 1999-2006, reportedly had an altercation on the city’s South Side.
Pittsburgh police said Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter was arrested on the city’s South Side on Sunday night following the team’s win over the Miami Dolphins.
Police released no further information Sunday night, but a Steelers spokesman said team officials were aware of the incident.
The incident reportedly took place outside The Flats bar on East Carson Street on the South Side of Pittsburgh.
A Steelers spokesman told triblive.com that the team is aware of what happened.
“We are aware of an incident tonight involving Joey Porter,” spokesman Burt Lauten said. “We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and we will have no further comment until we get more details.”
Pittsburgh is set to play Kansas City in the Divisional Round on Sunday.
