DeAndre Hopkins took to Instagram to pay tribute to injured teammate and fellow Clemson great Deshaun Watson last night.
Watson had turned the Texans into one of the NFL’s most exciting teams, challenging league rookie quarterback records along the way.
Things were derailed on Wednesday though, with the devastating news that the presumptive Rookie of the Year tore his ACL in practice.
Watson’s college coach Dabo Swinney had some pretty powerful comments after speaking to Watson following the injury. Hopkins, Houston’s star receiver, never played with Watson at Clemson, but the two share an alma mater and a number of big touchdowns this year. Hopkins responded to the injury on Instagram last night.
