Police arrested Tre Mason Tuesday night.
Former Los Angeles Rams star Tre Mason was arrested Tuesday night for reportedly fleeing from police on an ATV in July. According to the Palm Beach Post, Mason was in a park on July 27 doing wheelies on an ATV. Deputies stated Mason had been driving carelessly and was “tearing the place up.”
When the deputy tried to stop Mason, the former running back allegedly sped past him and went to his mother’s house.
Police issued a warrant for Mason’s arrest on Dec. 15.
Just a few days prior to this incident, Mason was “admitted for evaluation” due to erratic behavior. Mason’s mother called Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies on July 23 citing her son was acting unusually and making irrational decisions.
Mason’s mother admitted the former Auburn star was “not making good decisions” and had a “10-year-old’s mindset.”
Mason did not report to Rams training camp this summer, raising questions from former head coach Jeff Fisher. In a statement to Fox Sports, Fisher stated his concern:
“I haven’t personally spoken with Tre since the season ended. I tried numerous times to reach him. Tre has made a decision not to communicate with us, not to talk.”
Mason broke out during the 2014 season, but took a back seat to Todd Gurley in 2015. Mason did not play in 2016.
