This punishment seems well-deserved.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been suspended one game for his blindside cheap shot on New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore yesterday.
Evans drilled Lattimore, inciting a brief fracas near the Bucs’ sideline. Incredibly, he was not ejected.
Instead, he’ll sit out next weekend’s game against the New York Jets, pending an appeal.

This season, Evans has hauled in 40 receptions for 532 yards and four touchdowns.
Unfortunately, the Bucs are only 2-6 and headed toward their 10th-straight season without a playoff appearance.
