This was embarrassing for the Giants.
The Los Angeles Rams are beating up on the lowly New York Giants today at MetLife Stadium. One play in particular illustrated how bad things are going for New York.
Facing a third-and-33 at their own 48-yard line, the Rams ran a simple screen pass. Best case, wide receiver Robert Woods picks up 15-20 yards and puts his team in position for a long field goal. Worst case, the Rams don’t turn it over and look to punt and pin the Giants deep.
Of course, the Giants are 1-6 and missing several defensive starters. Still, there is no reason for giving up a 52-yard touchdown, which they did on this play.

A long season continues for the Giants, and Sean McVay continues to push the right buttons with his Rams offense.
