With the NFL preseason upon us, here are the players who have sold the most jerseys during the long offseason.
The NFL Shop has released a map showing the top selling jerseys in each state this offseason, as well as the top 10 selling jerseys in total.
Tom Brady, coming off of yet another Super Bowl, was the top seller. Marshawn Lynch, newly unretired and now an Oakland Raider, came in second overall, dominating sales out West.
The Cowboys combo of Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott also moved a ton of merchandise.
Here’s the full map:

A few notes:
-Six states with NFL teams (counting the Giants as a New York team) had jerseys from other franchises as their highest sellers. Indiana, whose Colts have a rivalry with Brady’s Patriots, is easily the weirdest here. (Florida: Brady; Illinois: Brady; Indiana: Brady; Maryland: Prescott; Ohio: Elliott; Washington: Lynch)
-Three rookies cracked the map. DeShaun Watson carried South Carolina, where he starred in college at Clemson. Christian McCaffrey and James Conner were the highest selling jerseys in their NFL homes of North Carolina and Pennsylvania, respectively.
-Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott are the only teammates represented.
-Cal (Lynch, Rodgers) and Pitt (Conner, Fitzgerald) are the only colleges with multiple alumni to win states.
-Derek Carr, Khalil Mack, and Antonio Brown cracked the top 10 overall despite not winning an individual state.
-While there are plenty of obvious player/state matches, Marshawn Lynch being the highest selling jersey in Utah is not one of them, and it is wonderful.
