Two NFL sponsors have responded to the protests.
Protests during the national anthem reached an all-time high this weekend after President Trump’s controversial statements about those involved in the protests.
Trump’s comments were taken as an attack against the NFL, and the players, coaches, and owners responded in force on Sunday.
Two NFL sponsors, Hyundai and Papa Johns, have now released statements about the protests

It’s not surprising to see both sponsors take a middle-of-the-road stance on the issue, as to not offend either position.
Trump’s comments and the protests have been divisive, and a new survey showed 51-percent of Americans have already watched less football this season.
