Another NFL star is out for the season.
The injury bug struck again last night.
Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman entered the Thursday night game on the injury list with an Achilles injury. In the third quarter of the game against the Arizona Cardinals, Sherman went down on a play and immediately grabbed at his Achilles.
Sherman could be seen on the sideline telling his teammates that he thought he tore his Achilles. Head coach Pete Carroll confirmed a ruptured Achilles diagnosis after the game.
As he alluded to on the sidelines, #Seahawks CB Richard Sherman does have a ruptured Achilles, coach Pete Carroll said. “The doctors were clear about it.” Ugh.

The 2017 season has seen some of the biggest stars in the NFL go down with season-ending injuries, including J.J. Watt, Odell Beckham Jr., and Deshaun Watson to name a few.
Seattle’s defense won’t look the same without its lockdown corner, but the Seahawks still have one of the best units in the league.
