Saints vs. Buccaneers preview:
The Saints defense is struggling. That’s not breaking news, or a shocking headline, but it is embarrassing for head coach Sean Payton and the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have given up at least 20 points in 11 of their 12 games, including nine straight. Of course, the Saints also score plenty of points as well, but New Orleans has still dropped three of its past four games. After routing the Rams, Drew Brees and the Saints got drubbed by the Lions last weekend.
Tampa Bay is heating up. Not, not the city. The football team. The Buccaneers have won four in a row, including wins over two of the NFL’s best teams, Kansas City and Seattle. Jameis Winston and the Bucs offense if firing on all cylinders, but it has been the defense that is surprising. Tampa Bay held Seattle to just five points. FIVE!
The Saints and Buccaneers have played 48 times in history. The Saints lead the regular season series 30-18.
Saints vs. Buccaneers prediction:
There will be plenty of offense in this one. After having his touchdown streak stopped, Drew Brees will get back on the wagon with a few touchdowns in this one, but it won’t be enough.
Jamies Winston and Mike Evans will dominate.
Bucs 31, Saints 24
