Texans vs. Titans preview:
The Texans clinched a playoff berth by winning the AFC South in an unwatchable game against the Bengals on Saturday night, where they won 12-10. They’re headed to the playoffs for the second straight season, where they will inevitably be eliminated in the Wild Card round for the second straight season. So it goes. Brock Osweiler has been benched in favor of Tom Savage, and it’s not quite clear if he’s just as bad as Osweiler or worse. This team will get as far as the defense takes them, and no further.
The Titans lost on Saturday to the Jaguars sealing their fate of missing the playoffs, and Marcus Mariota broke his fibula. It was not a great day. It’s a shame, because Mariota was quietly having an incredible season, throwing 26 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. If there are any positives to be taken away, it’s that when he comes back next year this team will be a legit threat to win the AFC South.
Texans vs. Titans prediction:
The game is in Nashville, the Texans have little resemblance of an offense outside the spastic play of Lamar Miller and the Titans will look finish the season on a high note. I like them to get it done at home.
