The NFL is set to meet next week to discuss alternatives to players protesting during the national anthem.
Rishard Matthews, a Tennessee Titans wide receiver, responded to a tweet asking him about his stance on the national anthem and the NFL’s upcoming meeting to discuss protests during the anthem.

Matthews has protested during the playing of the national anthem, but his perspective is an interesting one.
Both his father and half-brother served in the military. His half-brother died during a plane crash in 2015 while serving as a private defense contractor in Afghanistan.
