So much for Denver’s record-breaking offense. Seattle has just taken a 22-0 lead over the Broncos after quarterback Peyton Manning threw a pick-six to Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith late in the second quarter of Super Bowl XLVIII. Manning was hit on the throw by defensive end Cliff Avril and seemingly had no opportunity to chase down Smith on the return.
Manning has now thrown two costly interceptions. Denver has generated just 75 yards of offense thus far.
