Here’s what kind of punishment Ezekiel Elliott could face from the NFL.
Ezekiel Elliott reportedly got involved in an incident at a Dallas nightclub on Sunday night.
Mike Fisher, a Cowboys insider for 105.3 The Fan, reported that the star running back was involved in a “late-night altercation” at Clutch Bar.
Details outside of that are minimal, but more should come out today.
The timing of this is pretty poor.
Elliott is already under NFL investigation for a 2016 domestic violence accusation against him. The second-year running back had reportedly been preparing a response to the league’s findings.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter had reported that multiple sources told him a one or two-game suspension was possible.
“The NFL is looking to pin something on him,” a source told ESPN.
Schefter reported on SportsCenter this morning that Elliott’s off-the-field behavior, not limited to the domestic violence accusation, was already a concern to the NFL.
Depending on what happened during last night’s “altercation,” it could make the NFL’s decision to suspend him a lot easier.
