Navy has won back-to-back Commander-in-Chief’s trophies by sweeping rivals Army and Air Force, and as reward they made the short trip from Annapolis to the White House to receive their trophy. They brought President Barack Obama a gift as well, a No. 44 Navy jersey, for this afternoon’s ceremony.

Obama joked about Navy’s recent dominance of their two major rivalries:
“This is the second time these seniors have come here to claim the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy. If you guys have your punch cards with you, the next one is free.”
Navy will look to make that three-peat a reality this season. They travel to Air Force on October 4, and face Army in the annual Army-Navy Game on December 13 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
