The Notre Dame Fighting Irish continue their torrid recruiting pace in the off-season following a trip to the BCS National Championship Game. Today, the Irish received their 15th verbal commitment in wide receiver Corey Holmes.
Holmes is a 4-star receiver from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It’s a school the Irish have recruited well in the past, where players such as Sam Young and Jordan Cowart played before heading to South Bend. Today, Holmes announced that he would be playing his college ball for the University of Notre Dame.

Holmes is listed at 6-foot-2 and 174 pounds, and is a very well-rounded receiver prospect. He chose the Irish over offers from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, MIchigan, Stanford, and West Virginia, among others.
Prior to Holmes’ commitment, Notre Dame had the ninth-rated 2014 recruiting class, per Rivals. Holmes is the second 4-star receiver in the Irish’ class, joining Justin Brent.
