This should do wonders for the SEC’s reputation. Brian Hamilton of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that an SEC team called someone affiliated with Notre Dame to ask about Everett Golson.
This should go over well: One person close to #NotreDame program got a call from an SEC team today about Everett Golson. (No, not Ole Miss.)

Golson has been suspended for the fall term for “poor academic judgement”, the result of what appears to be multiple infractions on his part. He’s stated that he plans on returning to the Irish in 2014, assuming the school and program want him back.
As for which SEC team made the call, that’s obviously going to be a topic of debate. You can probably cross out schools like Alabama and Texas A&M for obvious reasons. After that, it’s really anyone’s guess. For reference, according to Rivals, there were four SEC schools who offered Golson out of high school – South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.
