It didn’t look good.
Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper left the game versus the Giants on Saturday night after suffering an apparent knee injury.
Harper lunged toward first base and appeared to slide on the bag, hyperextending his left leg.
It had been raining for most of the night, as the game didn’t start until around 10 p.m. E.T. following a three-hour rain delay.

Haper stayed on the ground in serious pain, and had to be helped off the field.
The Nationals are 14 games up on the Marlins in the NL East, and a long-term injury for Harper would obviously be a huge blow to the team’s playoff chances. Hopefully, the injury looked worse than it really was.
