Adam Rippon made a name for himself Sunday night at the Olympics.
U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon had a strong Olympic debut on Sunday night.
The 28-year-old scored a 172.98 on the ice in his first Olympic routine. But it might have been off the ice where he made the most noise.
Rippon joined NBC host Mike Tirico for an interview during the prime time broadcast. He showed off his personality of course.
The most notable nugget of Rippon’s camera time came when he detailed how he spent the last Olympic games eating In-N-Out with U.S. women’s figure skater Mirai Nagasu. Both missed the cut for the games, so they drowned their disappointment in the popular fast foot chain.
Of course, Nagasu had a huge night Sunday as well, becoming the first American woman to land a triple axel in Olympic competition.
Here’s Rippon with Tirico.

Rippon’s most viral quote came when Tirico asked him what he’s thinking when he’s on the ice.
It turns out Rippon is wishing for something to take the edge off.
“I want to throw up. I want to go over to the judges and say, ‘Can I just have a Xanax and a quick drink? I’ll be fine,'” he said. “But I kept it together.

This won’t be the last you’ll hear of Rippon during the games.
The 2018 Winter Olympics continue tomorrow on NBC.
