Johnny Football may have led his Texas A&M Aggies to 41 points against Auburn Saturday night, but for the first time in recent memory, he just couldn’t seal the deal at the end of the game. After Auburn took the lead, 45-41, on a 5-yard touchdown run by Tre Mason, Manziel was given 1:19 to work with, along with three timeouts. The Aggies were able to drive down to the Tigers’ 18-yard-line relatively quickly, but couldn’t get any further after Auburn was able to get pressure on Manziel numerous times in the pocket. The game ended with Manziel being sacked for a loss of 22 yards on 4th-and-13.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn was predictably excited.
