If Florida State loses tonight’s BCS National Championship Game by one point, you can bet that Seminoles fans are going to let running back Devonta Freeman hear about it. With FSU trailing Auburn, 21-13, quarterback Jameis Winston hooked up with wideout Chad Abram for an 11-yard touchdown. But the Noles were tagged with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the play after Freeman was caught taunting the Tigers’ sideline.
The penalty forced FSU to kick an 18-yard PAT instead of having a chance to go for a 2-point conversion to tie the game. It’s 21-20, late in the fourth quarter.
