Most injuries in college football are unavoidable – the sport is undeniably dangerous. That’s why it’s so frustrating to see serious injuries that didn’t need to happen. Kentucky wideout Alex Montgomery’s torn ACL is the latest example.
Montgomery, celebrating a touchdown grab during UK’s 48-14 victory over Alabama State, landed awkwardly after a chest-bump with two of his teammates – so awkwardly that he blew out his knee and ended his own season. Here’s video:
It’s a safe bet that in the future he’ll just hand the ball to the referee after scoring.
It’s been a tough season for the Wildcats thus far – this certainly doesn’t help their cause.
