Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant better be ready to pay up – the NBA superstar lost a bet with Louisville forward Kevin Ware regarding which player would be back on the court first after both suffered serious injuries earlier this year. Ware, if you remember, broke his leg during the Cardinals’ NCAA tournament game against Duke. Bryant tore his Achilles tendon in April playing against the Golden State Warriors.
The stakes weren’t for money or embarrassment though – the loser simply has to attend the winner’s first game back. Ware revealed the bet in during an interview with ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
We’ll see if Bryant follows through on the wager.
