Brandon Clarke, an All-Mountain West forward for San Jose State, is set to transfer, and he has narrowed his list to three schools.
Clarke averaged 17.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.6 blocks per game for the Spartans last season, and made first-team All-Conference for his efforts.
After the news broke, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein posted a list of 12 schools in the mix for Clarke: Cal, Cincinnati, Grand Canyon, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pitt, Utah, Virginia Tech, and Washington State.
Today, Clarke announced that he’s down to three programs. Oregon and Washington State have made the cut, as has a new school that Rothstein didn’t list: Gonzaga.
Huge thank you to all the schools that have taken the time to recruit me. I have narrowed my 3 final choices to Oregon, WSU, and Gonzaga.🏀

Gonzaga and Oregon have done quite well with transfers in recent years. Both teams are coming off of Final Four berths, and the Zags were led by Nigel Williams-Goss, a Washington transfer. Jonathan Williams, another top player for Mark Few, is a Mizzou transfer. Washington State is a bit of a wild card in the mix.
Clarke is a native of Vancouver, which informs his focus on schools in the Pacific Northwest.
