Cleveland is currently lacking depth at the shooting guard position with J.R. Smith sidelined with an injury.
Korver has been one of the league’s best 3-point shooters for roughly a decade. The 35-year-old is entering the twilight of his career, but is still shooting nearly 41 percent from the 3-point line.
So far with the Hawks this season, he’s averaging 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Atlanta is appearing to enter re-build mode, as All-Star big man Paul Milsap is also reportedly on the trading block.
At this time, it’s unclear what Cleveland will be sending Atlanta for Korver, a 2015 All-Star.
