The Celtics star lost his little sister on Saturday.
Isaiah Thomas lost his little sister on Saturday. Chyna Thomas, the younger sister of the Boston Celtics star point guard, was killed after her car drifted off an interstate freeway in Washington state. She was 22.
Brad Stevens said earlier today that Thomas is going to attempt to play in his team’s NBA Playoff contest tonight. The Celtics, the East’s No. 1 seed, are set to take on the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 of the first round.
Moments ago, TNT showed footage of Thomas warming up on the court before the game. After warming up, he went to the sideline and sat down, clearly overcome with emotions. Thomas was tearing up before getting comforted by teammates and staff.

All basketball aside, it's hard to imagine what is going on in Isaiah's head right now. Prayers to the Thomas family pic.twitter.com/zFhXKJ2e2C
