Boston Celtics star Isaiah Thomas might miss tonight’s playoff opener.
The Boston Celtics open up the 2017 NBA Playoffs tonight, but the East’s top seed might be without its best player. Star point guard Isaiah Thomas could miss Game 1 against the Chicago Bulls as he grieves the loss of his sister.
Thomas’ 22-year-old sister Chyna was killed in a car accident yesterday. According to Boston head coach Brad Stevens, Isaiah Thomas will make a decision on if he can play after going through pre-game activities.
Stevens says if Thomas goes through the pregame and feels he can't play, he won't. "He's really hurt. It's a tough situation."

This is obviously a heartbreaking situation. While Thomas could very well play, there’s no way his heart and mind will be totally into it, and for good reason.
If he chooses not to play, can anyone really blame him?
