The Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas trade could fall through.
Earlier this week, news broke that Kyrie Irving had been traded to Boston for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and an unprotected pick.
The trade, however, is contingent on each player passing a physical, and that has created a massive snag in the deal.
It was reported earlier that Isaiah Thomas, who is still recovering from a hip injury, could miss significant time.
Now, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that the Cavaliers want further compensation from the Celtics in order to go through with the trade. Woj said Cleveland could veto the trade if Boston doesn’t renegotiate the deal.
Story posting soon on ESPN: After Thomas physical, Cavs planning to seek further compensation before finalizing Irving trade to Boston.

The NBA offseason has been full of drama, and this Boston-Cleveland trade has added more fuel to the fire.
If the two teams can’t reach an agreement, Kyrie Irving would head back to Cleveland, and Isaiah Thomas and company would return to Boston.
