Derrick Rose spoke to the media for the first time following his absence in last night’s game against the Pelicans.
Last night, the New York Knicks took on the New Orleans Pelicans. One player missing from the floor? Derrick Rose.
Not only was Rose absent from the game, many within the Knicks organization did not know where the point guard went. After a few hours passed, reports surfaced that Rose was attending to a family matter.
Rose met with reporters Tuesday to discuss his absence from the game. Rose was asked why he didn’t inform the Knicks head brass of his choice to skip the game, and his response was less than thrilling for Knicks fans.

Tuesday morning, it was announced that Rose had been fined by the Knicks organization after missing Monday’s game, but is expected to be in uniform when the Knicks take on the 76ers on Wednesday.
