This is awesome.
The wildfires that continue to ravage northern California and much of the Pacific Northwest have caused up to $1 billion in damages in California alone, and Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson announced today that he intends to do something about it.
On his Twitter account, Thompson revealed that he will be donating $1,000 to wildfire relief efforts for every point he scores in the Warriors’ next three home games.

Thompson averaged 22.3 points a game last year, and he also holds the record for most points scored in a quarter with 37. He’s always liable to snap off, so hopefully he takes one of the three home games and puts up 40 or 50.
