After sitting out a game on Monday with a sore groin, Lonzo Ball will suit up tonight versus the 76ers.
Lakers rookie and No. 2 overall draft pick Lonzo Ball is expected to play tonight versus the Philadelphia 76ers after sitting out Monday’s contest against the Kings.
Ball received plenty of criticism for sitting out Monday’s game, as many believed he was ducking contest so as not to face another embarrassment at the hands of former Kentucky standout and No. 5 overall draft pick De’Aaron Fox, who held him to 10 points in the Sweet Sixteen game this past NCAA Tournament.
Naturally, people are now criticizing Ball for “quickly” returning to play:
Of course Lonzo Ball is available tonight. Lol

Experts predict "Lonzo Ball will spontaneously get an injury right before every game against the Kings this year"

It sounds like Lonzo Ball (injured labia) is going to give it a go tonight. Good luck kid, glad you could recover quickly.

At any rate, he’ll be in uniform tonight and will most likely play:
Lonzo Ball will play tonight vs. Philly as Lakers begin "tournament" format for summer league. Ball sat out Monday's game (groin injury).

Unfortunately, Markelle Fultz, the No. 1 overall pick, won’t be suiting up for the 76ers, as he sprained his ankle earlier in summer league play and and has since been ruled out for the rest of the summer league.
Ball recorded a triple-double against the Celtics on Saturday after a pitiful 2-of-15 debut performance, and he’ll look to keep things rolling tonight against the Sixers. The Lakers will take on the Cavaliers Thursday if they win tonight.
