The San Antonio Spurs will be without one of their best players indefinitely.
San Antonio star LaMarcus Aldridge will be sidelined indefinitely due to a “minor” heart arrhythmia problem, the team has announced. Aldridge reportedly had an “occurrence or episode” recently – hence the decision to sit him down.

Not a ton of details on LaMarcus. But a source said there was an "occurrence or episode" and that his "health and safety" are No. 1 concern.

From a basketball perspective, this is huge news. The Spurs trail the Golden State Warriors for the top seed in the Western Conference by just 1.5 games with a few weeks to play. Aldridge is averaging 17.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest.
Furthermore, the two teams are scheduled to play Saturday night. However, with the Aldridge news, Kawhi Leonard’s concussion and Golden State’s decision to rest a number of its starters, it won’t be the matchup fans were hoping for.
Let’s hope Aldridge gets the situation under control soon and returns to the court.
