A group of people draped a “Racism Is As American As Baseball” sign over the Green Monster during tonight’s Red Sox-A’s game at Fenway Park.
The sign – black with white lettering – was draped over the left-field wall for a couple of minutes before security removed it, along with the people who hung it.
Fenway Park has had a couple of racially-charged incidents this season. Most notably, Orioles’ star Adam Jones said fans called him the n-word during a game.
