We’re two games into the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The final game of the night was a fun one.
St. Bonaventure, a No. 11 seed in the East Region, faced off against No. 11 seed UCLA in a First Four game. The Bonnies were victorious, winning 65-58.
The win was secured, in part, due to the late play of UCLA’s best player. Bruins’ star Aaron Holiday melted down.
The junior guard, who had been one of the best players in the country this season, had two brutal offensive fouls in the final minute. Both of those fouls, basically, sealed the win for St. Bonaventure.
It was tough to watch.
Aaron Holiday has been calm and collected all year. Carried UCLA to the Tournament. Then Lost his shit a bit late.

I’ve written like three or four drafts about Aaron Holiday’s finish to that game and deleted all of them because I don’t know how to say something that is both true and NOT kind of harsh to say about a 21 year old college kid

The second foul was disputed by UCLA, but it was a clear push off. This was the play:

Holiday ended up fouling out on that play. He finished the game with 20 points on 7 of 17 shooting. He had 10 turnovers.
St. Bonaventure moves on to face No. 6 seed Florida.
That game is set for Thursday. It will tip off at roughly 9:57 p.m. E.T. on truTV.
