We’re entering the final month of the 2016 college football season.
ESPN’s FPI has gone ahead and projected which teams have the best chance of winning out the rest of the way.
ESPN’s Football Power Index, “a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season,” uses “(projected) results (that) are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule.”
Some of the teams on ESPN’s winning out list need to win the rest of their games to make the college football playoff. Others have to keep winning to ensure a quality bowl bid.
