Mike & Mike are breaking up.
It’s been reported for months now that ESPN’s flagship radio show – Mike & Mike – would be ending near the end of 2017. Monday, the network officially announced both and end date for the program and the name of the show Mike Golic will be part of moving forward.
Mike & Mike will officially end on November 17. The new name of Golic’s show, which will run from 6 AM to 10 AM with Trey Wingo – is simply Golic & Wingo. Here’s more, via ESPN:
ESPN Radio will debut its new morning drive show, Golic & Wingo, hosted by Mike Golic and Trey Wingo, on Monday, Nov. 27. The program will air from 6 – 10 a.m. ET on ESPN Radio and will initially be simulcast on ESPN2 before moving in early January to its simulcast home on ESPNU. Mike & Mike will conclude its nearly 18-year run on November 17.
Mike Greenberg, meanwhile, will be getting his own morning show on ESPN. The name of that show has not yet been decided.
It’ll be a sad day when Mike & Mike ends, but the network should have some new interesting shows to entertain fans. 2018 will be an interesting year at ESPN.
