Rams vs. Saints preview:
The Rams (4-6) are fresh off of a 14-10 loss to Miami have lost five of their last six games played. The Saints (4-6) fell to the Panthers last Thursday 23-20 and have lost back-to-back games.
New Orleans got off to a tremendously slow start against the Panthers but nearly put together a comeback of the ages before falling short. The Saints out gained the Panthers 371 yards to 223 yards but also had the only two turnovers of the game. Drew Brees finished the night going 35-for-44 through the air for 285 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The Rams and Dolphins combined for just 467 yards in total last week, but Miami figured out a way to pick up the road win. Jared Goff went 17-for-31 passing for 134 yards on the day while Todd Gurley rushed for 76 yards and one score on 20 carries for the Rams.
The Rams are 40-31 all-time in regular season meetings against the Saints.
Rams vs. Saints Prediction:
The Rams offense is nearly non existent, but their defense ranks sixth in the league allowing just 318.3 yards per game. Los Angeles’ pass defense is also sixth in the league which could turn this one into a low-scoring affair that plays into the Rams’ advantage.
Goff will need to put a complete game together with consistency from Gurley behind him against a rather poor New Orleans defense for Los Angeles to grab the win. The Rams take one away from the Saints in New Orleans.
