Former VCU basketball star Mo Alie-Cox has found an NFL home.
Mo Alie-Cox starred on the hardwood at VCU but is looking to change career paths. Earlier this month, Alie-Cox worked out for over 20 NFL teams in an attempt to make the league as a defensive end or tight end.
Because he was technically eligible for last year’s NFL Draft, Alie-Cox didn’t need to wait until next week’s draft to get picked up by a team. He could be signed off the street as a free agent.
Reportedly, the Indianapolis Colts have done just that, inking Alie-Cox according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Alie-Cox measured in at 6-foot-4 1/2-inches and 262 pounds, with an 86-inch wingspan and a 4.75 40-yard dash time. It will be intriguing to see which side of the ball he ultimately ends up trying out on.
This past season, Alie-Cox averaged 9.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
