The morning commute took a scary turn on Wednesday.
Wildfires ravaged a large portion of California for much of the summer causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage across the state.
A new wildfire raged on for the third consecutive day in Southern California on Wednesday, and commuters on Interstate 405 received an apocalyptic show on their way to work.

It looks like a scene straight out of a movie, a la the Lord of the Rings. A large section of Interstate 405, one of the busiest stretches of highway in the country, has been shut down as a result of the fire.
Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd posted a video of his commute to work as well.
