With Butler’s win over Villanova and Oklahoma knocking off TCU today, Arizona State is the unexpected final undefeated team in Division I men’s basketball.
This afternoon, superstar guard Trae Young had yet another phenomenal game, including the game-winning free throws with under eight seconds remaining in regulation to knock off No. 10 TCU in Fort Worth.
A few hours later, The Butler did it at Hinkle Fieldhouse with 24 points from Kelan Martin and 23 from Paul Jorgensen, knocking off No. 1 Villanova 101-93.
With those two results, the Arizona State Sun Devils are the last remaining unbeaten Division I.

No one would have bet on ASU being the last team with a ‘0’ in the loss column, but Bobby Hurley has done a fantastic job so far this year.
Arizona State has played a pretty tough schedule as well, so this is no hollow mark. The Sun Devils have defeated Kansas State, Xavier, Kansas and Vanderbilt en route to their 12-0 record.
Now, we’ll see how long Arizona State can hold on without a loss. This undefeated streak faces a huge test tonight, with the Sun Devils traveling to surging rival Arizona, which has bounced back nicely from a terrible run at the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. The Wildcats lost all three games in three days, but are 10-0 outside of that tournament. Oddsshark reports that most sportsbooks have Arizona as a six or 6.5-point favorite at home. The game will tip off at 9 p.m. ET.
