It’s year three of the Rich Rodriguez era at Arizona, and even though the team suffered some major losses, it will still play some of the most entertaining football in America. While the team did lose star running back Ka’Deem Carey and starting quarterback B.J. Denker, it will still look to get into shootouts and play up-tempo football because Rodriguez is not exactly a fan of defensive slugfests. The Wildcats are in the always tough Pac 12, and are one of the only teams that need to travel to Oregon and UCLA this season, but behind some key returning players — including wide receiver Austin Hill, who missed all of last year with a knee injury — Arizona can surprise some people this year.
Yesterday, the school released a hype video that wants its fans to #BeThe1. It features a pep talk from Rodriguez, some highlights, and clips of fans getting ready in the locker room before a game. Check it out:
The Wildcats will kick off the 2014 season on August 29, when the team takes on UNLV in Tucson.
