The Arizona State Sun Devils took down the No. 2 team in the nation, the Arizona Wildcats, 69-66 in double overtime tonight. Arizona State’s fans, getting a bit ahead of themselves, were eager to storm the court as the final seconds ticked off the clock. It was certainly the biggest win of the year for the Sun Devils, who are now 19-6. This was only the second loss of the year for the Wildcats, who now find themselves at 23-2.
Jermaine Marshall gave the Sun Devils the lead on a layup with 15 seconds to go in the second overtime period. Jordan Bachynski gets credit for the game-saving block. Jahii Carson accented the Sun Devil’s win with a dunk with one second to go.
