Christian Wallace, one of the most highly-rated recruits in recent Oregon State history, is leaving the Beavers program.
Wallace was a four-star athlete in the class of 2016, and ultimately settled in as a cornerback at Oregon State.
He sat out his true freshman season after being ruled academically ineligible, and had yet to take his first snaps with the program this year.
Now, he is leaving the team.

According to The Oregonian, the school cited “personal reasons” as the impetus for Wallace’s departure.
As a recruit, Wallace was originally committed to TCU, before eventually settling on Oregon State. He also named Mississippi State, Oklahoma, and Texas in his top five. He committed to the Beavers on September 24, 2015, and enrolled in June 2016.
247Sports ranked Wallace as the No. 274 overall player in the class of 2016. The Sealy, TX native was ranked No. 43 in the Lone Star State.
