UCLA has an extremely talented football team in 2013, but right now, the Bruins have hit a rough patch. UCLA climbed as high as ninth in AP Poll to start the season, but has now suffered back-to-back losses to very good Stanford and Oregon teams. The major issue in the two losses was the offense — the Bruins only scored 24 points in the two games combined.
Offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone realizes he needs to get things back on track quickly — he also realizes that he probably isn’t the most popular guy right now. Today he had a pretty funny quote regarding his approval rating:
#UCLA OC Noel Mazzone: “I want to give a shoutout to my mom and my dog, because they’re the only two people that like me right now.”

I think that is maybe a bit harsh, but Mazzone is right in realizing that he needs to get the offense clicking. The Bruins look to rebound and get back on the right path against Colorado on Saturday.
