USC may have won its first football game under Ed Orgeron, but that doesn’t mean the Trojans aren’t still looking for a new head coach for the 2014 season. This afternoon, Paul Finebaum went on Brock Huard’s ESPN radio show and told listeners that sources tell him that the Trojans are very interested in Washington coach Steve Sarkisian. How interested? Apparently he’s their No. 1 target.
Paul Finebaum just told us on our radio show that target number one according to his sources for USC…….Steve Sarkisian

Does this come as a huge surprise? Not really. Sarkisian spent a few seasons as USC’s quarterbacks coach, eventually being promoted to assistant head coach in 2005. He’s also taken a Washington program from the cellar of the Pac-12 back to relevancy fairly quickly. Would he bolt? We may soon find out.
