The SEC’s new “*8 + 1” scheduling, which requires teams to play at least one non-conference game against a power conference opponents, already has teams looking to fill out their future slates, it appears. Alabama, one of the league’s premier programs, has already approached another top program about playing in 2016.

While a potential game between the two programs is far from official, there is some speculation about the set-up and location. Would it be a home-and-home series, or a one-off neutral site match-up? There are rumors that it may be the latter. The “Cowboy Classic”, played in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, has an opening in 2016.
Rumor going around that USC and Alabama will meet in Dallas to start the 2016 CFB season. Would be cool to watch if true.
