USC is hard at work searching for a new coach to replace recently-fired Lane Kiffin. Ed Orgeron was named the head coach in the interim, and will be considered for the position moving forward, along with a number of other candidates.
Naturally, Stanford’s David Shaw has been a name floating around as a possible replacement. Shaw is obviously familiar with the Pac-12, and has continued the success at Stanford that really began under Jim Harbaugh.
Today, when told that his name might be on USC’s “short list”, Shaw had a pretty humorous response:
Stanford’s David Shaw on rumors that he is on USC’s short list: “It might be short but it’s one person too long.”

Sorry Trojans fans, but it doesn’t like Shaw is looking to leave Palo Alto anytime soon — at least not for Los Angeles.
